Fundraising
Goal
A primary objective of the PTO is to raise funds for necessary materials and programs to further the education of Westridge students. To accomplish this objective, the PTO hosts a number of programs to generate income for our school.
NOTE: Due to Covid-19, a number of events have been altered or cancelled. We hope to be able to hold events as we have in the past, very soon!
The Westie’s Fund
This is our direct donation program where 100% of all proceeds directly benefits our school to help pay for safety equipment, upgrade school amenities, field trips and special events for all grades and necessary learning materials like STEM room tablets and supplies. All donations are tax-deductible. All families are encouraged to make a minimum pledge of $25.00 in order to help make a difference at our school.
Fall and Spring Fundraisers
We will host a direct donation fundraiser in the fall and TJs Pizza in the spring and all Westridge families are encouraged to participate. This will help to ensure we are able to support our school’s efforts to provide the best educational experiences possible for every student.
Family Trivia Night
Our Family Trivia Night is aimed at giving families an affordable and exciting night out together. Families will enjoy a night of kid-friendly trivia, food and fun! There will also be a silent auction of kid-approved items for parents to peruse and bid on to help generate money for our school. Our event will take place in November.
Rock and Roll Bingo
The Westridge PTO hosts an adults-only evening to allow parents a fun night out while supporting our school. Guests will enjoy a twist on traditional bingo with popular music clips and artists’/song titles on bingo cards. There will be win prizes during each round. Also, there will be a silent auction that features a wide variety of products that parents may bid on to help us generate money for our school. Our event will take place in February.
Scholastic Book Fair
Westridge hosts two Scholastic Book Fairs each year, during parent/teacher conferences in the fall (October) and spring (March). This is a great way to celebrate the importance of literacy and help foster a love of reading. There will also be opportunities for students to win prizes through a raffle and other games. Lastly, students can take advantage of our Pencil-Grams Program where they can purchase a pencil and send a special message to friends and teachers for $.25.
Daddy-Daughter Dance
A night of dancing and fun for our Westridge dads and their daughters. We welcome other father figures such as grandpas and uncles to accompany any girl attending Westridge. Our event will take place in September.
Mother-Son Outing
Westridge moms and their sons have the opportunity to spend quality time together while having fun at a kid-friendly venue in St. Louis. We welcome other mother figures such as grandmas and aunts to accompany any boy attending Westridge. Our event will take place in January.
Dine/Donate Program
The PTO will host a variety of dine and donate events throughout the school year where families can enjoy a meal together while supporting Westridge Elementary. A percentage of their bill will be donated back to the PTO to help fund important school initiatives.
Talent Show
Come check out the many talents of our students. Our talent show provides an opportunity for unique student performances from singing and dancing to playing a musical instrument and more! The show will take place in March and auditions will be held after winter break.
Westridge Spirit Wear
Families of Westridge will have the opportunity to purchase custom-designed apparel to show off their school pride. From a variety of t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and bracelets to hats, PJ pants, water bottles and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
Schnucks eScript Program
Schnucks' supermarkets offer a community outreach program where up to 3% of shoppers' total monthly grocery bill to be donated directly back to Westridge Elementary. It is an easy way to turn groceries into cash for our school. Simply present the red card in your PTO welcome packets each time you shop at Schnucks.
Boxtops for Education
Westridge collects box labels from specially marked packages of commonly used products and converts them into free money for our school. There will be monthly collection dates where the labels are due. Simply clip and turn into your classroom teacher. Students will have a chance to receive prizes for the most collected labels during the school year.
Shoparoo
Shoparoo is a new and easy way to raise money for Westridge. Shoparoo is a free app where you take pictures of your shopping receipts and it turns them into cash donations and sweepstake entries for our school. The more supporters, the more we will raise for our school.
The Coca-Cola Give Program
The Coca-Cola Give Program allows you to enjoy your favorite Coke products while earning money for our school. Every time you purchase any of the following products, simply collect and turn in your product codes to your classroom teacher and Westridge will receive a donation.
