Volunteers and Committees

Volunteers Needed

Are you ready to get involved? Volunteering shows your children you are committed to their education, creates friendships among parents, and develops a strong relationship with your children’s teachers. Please takea few moments to look over the committees the Westridge PTO offers.
 
Volunteer opportunities are available to fit every interest and schedule. We have multiple committees in Fundraising, Hospitality, Events and Community Building.

       

Fundraising Committees 

A primary objective of the PTO is to raise funds for programs and equipment to further the education of Westridge students. To accomplish this objective, the PTO sponsors a number of activities to generate income. Other fundraising committees may form as the school year progresses. 

Fundraising committees include the Fall Fundraiser, Scholastic Book Fair, Rock n' Roll Bingo, Family Trivia Night, Daddy Daughter Dance, Dine and Donate Program, Talent Show, Mother/ Son Outing, Spirit Wear,  Schnucks' eScrip, and Box Tops/Labels for Education

Hospitality 

One role of the PTO is to create a welcoming and appreciative atmosphere for our staff, students, families, and community. The hospitality committee plans and coordinates events to celebrate our Westridge community. Hospitality committees include Staff Appreciation, Beautification, New Family Mentoring.

Community Building

The PTO strives to bring our Westridge community together to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate successes. Additional committees and events may form as the school year progresses. 

Community Building committees include Community Growth, Grade Level Liaison, Back to School dance, Trunk-or-Treat, Spirit Popcorn Day, Dads@Westridge, Reading Store, Room Parties, Club H.O.P.E., 5th Grade Promotion, Kindergarten Promotion & the End of the Year bash.

Staff-Led Committees

Staff-led committees typically require daytime commitments. Contact the staff member responsible for the committee for more details. Staff-led committees include Art Volunteer, Counselor Aide, Library Volunteer, Music Volunteer, Classroom Volunteer, Science Fair Volunteer, Relay for Life, and more.
